Random Starfinder Planet: Lebornsi

So I'm back, and ready to bring you random things again! Where have I been? Well... I don't have a good story for this, but I didn't want to make the effort to delete things I had posted previously.

Starting with a Random Planet for your Starfinder games. I used the Deck of many worlds to get the base information, and expanded from there. This is fairly setting neutral planet that you could port to any Sci-fi RPG, just change the species, aliens, and other Starfinder specifics to fit your game. I'm not gonna care, I'm putting this info free on the internets, the fact you liked what I wrote in a way to use it as all the validation I need. Without further ado, here's Lebornsi

Leborsni is a lush world, but with only small pockets of sentient life. Demons, undead, and worse roam the wilds outside of the tall walls of the cities. The cities, built pre-Gap, are starting to crumble as infrastructure is no longer repairable. During the Gap, something came and manifested a child’s dreams of the time before technology, and used those manifestations to quell the memories of those who could. In turn after a few generations, that knowledge is lost. Though there are rumors of vast technological advances out in what they people call, The Dead Zones. The vibrant, fertile lands between cities where the creatures that abhor life roam with abandon are off limits, with the only travel to other cities in underground tunnels that are prone to collapse.

Life in the cities is ensconced in ritual, those who step outside of their job/role in the community are subject to strict punishments, the harshest to be placed into the Great Melee. Every city, run by a Grand Hierophant, is devoted to the Mistress, the only goddess worshiped on this planet. Which happens to be another name for Urgathoa. The people are all taught that the only thing that keeps them safe is their devotions to her. The Grand Melee being a tournament hosted on the 11 days of the Festival of the Mistress celebration, a celebration leading into the new year during the depth of winter. It covers the 5 days before the winter equinox, the equinox itself, and the 5 days after. Some cities run brutal gladiatorial contests where the losers are slain and feasted upon as a way to gain strength, others (more civilized?) hold non lethal melees where the losers are ostracized to feed the hordes beyond the wall. Either way the Mistress is pleased.

The populace trade resources and youth through tunnels to sister cities to ensure the breeding populations don’t become too inbred. Some larger, more populous cities, demand tributes of fodder for their colosseum, with the threat of invasion hanging overhead.

HOOKS!

Low Level Hook(Native): Your group is a part of a lot of prisoners being shipped to another city to be used as colosseum chattel for an upcoming festival. An underground (literally) rebellion takes you back to their base they’ve dug out, with a hatch to the surface. (Campaign style: Social or Combat)

Mid Level(Non-Native): Your ship has entered the system, and find this slightly inhabited planet to explore (Campaign Style: Any, all depends on how you want it to go)

High Level(Non-Native): Your group has gained information about a dormant living apocalypse in this system, and are contracted (or the group wants) to harvest Apocalypse Crystals.
